GTA 6 Release Date: November 19, 2026

GTA 6 Release Date Confirmed for November 19, 2026

Want the full picture? Our GTA 6 guide covers the story, setting, editions and everything Rockstar has confirmed so far.

Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar set that date in November 2025, and Take-Two, its parent company, repeated it on its May and August 2026 earnings calls. With preorders open since June, the date looks firm.

How the Date Moved

GTA 6 has been delayed twice:

• December 2023: the first trailer gave a 2025 release window.
• May 2025: Rockstar moved the game to May 26, 2026.
• November 2025: Rockstar moved it again, to November 19, 2026, and apologized for the extra wait, saying the time would let it finish the game with the level of polish players expect.

What Is Confirmed

• Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version.
• Characters: the story follows Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, a couple pulled into crime.
• Setting: Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida, with Vice City as its main city.
• Preloading: digital preloading starts on November 12, 2026.

Preorders and Price

Preorders opened on June 25, 2026. In the US the Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. The Ultimate Edition adds vehicles, weapons, outfits and other extras tied to the story.

Anything bought before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital preorders come with a free month of GTA+. If you want a boxed copy, the box contains a download code rather than a disc.

What About PC?

Rockstar has not announced a PC version. In the past, GTA V reached PC about nineteen months after consoles and Red Dead Redemption 2 about thirteen months after, but that is history, not a promise.

There are no official GTA 6 PC system requirements. Any spec chart you see online is a guess, and anyone selling GTA 6 PC keys or beta access is running a scam.

What to Watch Before Launch

• November 12: digital preloading opens and boxed copies go on sale.
• November 19: the game unlocks on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
• A launch trailer: Rockstar released its first two trailers without warning, so another could arrive at any time, but none has been announced.

We will update this post if Rockstar or Take-Two announce anything new.
