For a game that has been in development since at least 2018, this confirmation ends nearly a decade of speculation.

The November 19, 2026 release puts GTA 6 squarely in the holiday shopping season, following the same playbook Rockstar used for GTA 5, which launched in September 2013 and became the highest grossing entertainment product of all time with over 7 billion dollars in revenue. Expect similar commercial dominance when GTA 6 hits shelves.

Vehicles range from classic muscle cars to modern supercars, boats, aircraft, and apparently a return to drivable trains.

Industry analysts expect GTA 6 to retail between $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for a Collector's Edition. This pricing aligns with the 2026 market where AAA games have settled into the $70 base price tier following the PS5 and Xbox Series X generation transition.
